Coach Profile – U18 AA
Name: Thomas Witte
Position: Head Coach – U18 AA Orangeville Flyers
Season: 2026–2027
About Me
I’m passionate about developing young athletes into confident, skilled, and team-oriented hockey players. With 10 years of coaching experience at competitive levels, I believe in building a culture where hard work, respect, and accountability come first—both on and off the ice. I was drafted to the OHL, played 4 years of Jr. A hockey in Brampton, played lacrosse at the Jr. A, Sr. B, and NLL level. I’ve also completed 5 half Ironman triathlons.
Coaching Philosophy
Our program is built on three pillars:
-
Skill Development – High-tempo practices focused on skating, puck control, and game awareness.
-
Team Culture – A positive, supportive environment where every player feels valued and motivated. This is a main focus for us, specifically in the dressing room.
-
Competitive Edge – Preparing players to perform under pressure and succeed at the next level.
