The Orangeville Minor Hockey Association is excited to announce that registration for the NHL/NHLPA First Shift Program is now open!
First Shift is designed for children ages 6-10 who have never played organized hockey before. This introductory program provides a fun, safe, and affordable way for new players to get involved in Canada's game.
Participants receive a complete set of brand-new Bauer hockey equipment, including skates, helmet, stick, equipment bag, and all necessary protective gear. The registration fee of $299 also includes a welcome event and six on-ice sessions led by trained instructors.
The Orangeville Minor Hockey Association's First Shift program will begin in January 2027, with the Welcome Event scheduled for January 18, 2027. Sessions will focus on learning basic hockey skills, building confidence on the ice, and most importantly, having fun.
Spots are limited and registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
