The Executive of the Orangeville Minor Hockey Association is elected from the membership at the annual general meeting and each officer holds office until the close of the second annual general meeting.
To qualify to be a director of OMH, an individual must be older than 18 years of age, be of sound mind and cannot hold the status of bankrupt.
The Executive positions consist of President, Vice-President(House League), Vice-President (Rep), Treasurer, Secretary and Directors of each age division, as well as a Rep Director, Select Director and Director-at-Large.
To qualify to be elected as President or either Vice-President, an individual must have served as an officer of OMH for a minimum of 2 of the preceding 4 fiscal years.
Executive members are expected to attend the monthly meetings which average 3.5 hours, plus any other meetings as required.
The President is responsible for the general supervision of the affairs of the Association, acts as an ex-officio on all committees and performs any other duties assigned by the board.
The 1st Vice-President (House League) is responsible for the supervision, administration and development of the House League hockey program.
The 2nd Vice-President (Rep) is responsible for the supervision, administration and development of the Rep hockey program.
The 3rd VP Director of Administration shall work closely with the Bookkeeper and oversee the Budgets, daily accounts, Co-chair the Budget Committee; Carry out duties assigned by the Board, the Executive Committee or the President; Be available to assist any Director requiring assistance in the completion of his or her functions; Oversee the Administrator, Ice Scheduler, general office duties; Oversee the Tournament convener, sponsorship convener, equipment convener; Oversee Pictures and Jersey tender.
The Secretary attends all meetings of the members and directors and records the minutes of all proceedings at the meetings.
The House League Directors are responsible for the division elected for. Rep Director, Select Director and Direct-at-Large responsibilities will be close to the outline, but with some variations.
