Orangeville hockey fans were treated to ​phenomenal hockey action in the Minor Tyke Division in this morning's championship game. Today was Green versus Royal, a classic match-up that brought out the best from both sides.

In a stunning prime time victory, Orangeville's Green Machine took on the Gold squad last night at the Alder Red rink.

What a great weekend of hockey in the Minor Tyke Division. The Green Machine came ready to play and eked out two nail biting victories to secure second place through the round robin of the playoffs.

Saturday afternoon was a special day for hockey in the Minor Tyke Division. Team Royal carried a slight edge in the season series versus Green, up 3 to 2 heading into their playoff duel. James Brady returned in net for Green and put on an epic performance for The Machine. His kick save with the right pad in the First period was as good as it gets.

Despite playing with a shortened bench the boys in Green came out flying against an energized White squad this afternoon. With Justin "Big Cat" Mason in goal pouncing on every loose puck, Green found the inspiration they needed to push through and finish the regular season with a win.
